Show (raise) the cards to the audience.

Put your right thumb on first card and your index finger on second card. Then while you show (raise) the cards to the audience, slide the first card behind the second card with your thumb (Just move a bit the both of your thumb that holds the first card to your left). Act natural, don't let your audience know you slide the card.

Now the first card (from the left) audience see (2 spade) is actually the second card. The real first card is hidden behind it.
